Please contact your insurance company for specifics regarding OT and PT benefits. You will be responsible for all co-insurance, co-pays, deductibles and non-covered services.
Nicole Koranda, OTR/L graduated from Mount Mary University in 1998. Her passion has always been working in pediatrics. She has experience working in outpatient pediatric clinics, hospitals, schools, and home health. Nicole has been trained in treatment techniques for Irlen Syndrome at the Irlen Institute in Longbeach Calf., Primitive Reflexes, Pediatric Kinesio Taping, Interactive Metronome, The Astronaut Protocol, Therapeutic Listening, Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding, and the TEACCH Autism Program. Nicole also developed a Handwriting Camp for print and cursive that she has been running since 2016 on the west side of the Big Island.
Nicole moved to Hawaii with her husband and two children in the summer of 2010. When they landed on the Big Island of Hawaii they were greeted with Aloha and decided to embrace the island life. While working in the Waimea and Kohala schools, Nicole was surprised of the limited outpatient pediatric clinics for children with special needs. At that moment, Nicole's husband said, "some day you will own a pediatric clinic on this island." That dream/vision came true in 2019.
Educating parents and family members on how to maximize a child's independence in daily living skills is Nicole's passion. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, swimming, snorkeling, and hiking with her family.
Lyda Liu, MSPT was born and raised in Hawai'i, on the islands of O'ahu, Maui, and Moloka'i. The Big Island has been her home since 2001. Lyda graduated with a master's in physical therapy from Pacific University, OR in 1994. She began her career in pediatrics at Kapi'olani Medical Center where she received mentorship and training in the NICU, PICU, oncology unit, burn unit, and pediatric outpatient rehabilitation clinic. Over the last 27 years, Lyda has worked in all areas of pediatric rehabilitation and has many years of home health care experience as well.
Lyda currently provides physical therapy services at Keiki Therapy, where she works with children ages birth to 18 years with orthopedic conditions, neurodevelopmental delays, and sensori-motor integration issues. Lyda enjoys the dynamic and creative setting that the arena of pediatric physical therapy provides. Her passion is helping children with special needs and disabilities to reach their highest potential.
In her spare time, Lyda enjoys cycling, hiking, camping, pilates, traveling, paddling, and hanging out with her 2 children (ages 18 and 16 years).
Evan Mee-Lee, OTR/L graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University, California in 1981. She has 30+ years of Occupational Therapy experience in various settings including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation clinics, acute care hospitals, VA mental health unit, several skilled nursing home facilities, home health; worked for a traveling therapy company; taught at Kapiolani Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant program in Honolulu; and serviced special needs children for the Big Island DOE in Keaau, Kona, and Hilo districts. She lived and worked in the Pacific Northwest, Oahu, and the Big Island.
Evan currently provides Occupational Therapy services at Keiki Therapy Hilo, where she works with children that have retained primitive reflexes, neuro-developmental delays, and sensorimotor integration challenges. She enjoys the dynamic and creative setting that outpatient pediatric therapy provides. Her passion is helping keikis with special needs to achieve goals in a fun, safe, and learning environment.
Evan grew up in Oahu. She and her husband has lived in the Big Island since 2009. In her free time, she enjoys beach activities, hiking, cycling, camping, tennis, traveling, cooking vegan recipes, music, church fellowship, hanging out with family and friends, and helping with her family's private school in the Philippines.
Chanda Zavodny, OTR/L graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire. She has 20+ years of Occupational Therapy experience in various settings including Early Intervention, Department of Education, and Private Practice in Florida, California, and Hawaii. She has additional training in Sensory Integration, DIR/ Floortime Model, ABA therapy and Infant Mental Health.
Chanda provides Occupational Therapy services at Keiki Therapy, offering home and community visits, for children with sensory processing challenges, development delays, and social emotional developmental needs.
Her passion is to work with the pediatric population and to partner with families to support their child's needs, maximize independence and to improve participation in their daily routine.
In her spare time, Chanda enjoys going on adventures with her two children, hiking, swimming and being in nature.
Andi Falcon, MOTR/L was born and raised in Texas. She graduated with her master's degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2008. She has worked in various settings for all age groups including acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, home health, and early intervention. She recently owned her own private pediatric outpatient clinic in Texas for 5 years. Andi specializes in pediatrics with expertise in developmental disorders, learning disabilities, vision therapy, sensory integration, and feeding. She has completed advanced training/certification in the following areas:
In her spare time, Andi enjoys being with her family, including her two pugs, Harry and Maylee. She enjoys fishing, running, hiking, Texas Longhorn football, Houston Astros, and anything Harry Potter.
Our WAIMEA Clinic is located on the South Side of Mamalahoa Highway (Hawaii Belt Rd) one mile east of North Hawaii Community Hospital. We are located behind Fish and the Hog restaurant. Parking and bathrooms are shared with the restaurant and other businesses.
Our HILO Clinic is part of the Wala'au Therapy center. Located 1 block east of the intersection of Hawai'i Belt Rd. and E. Kahaopea St.
