Nicole Koranda, OTR/L graduated from Mount Mary University in 1998. Her passion has always been working in pediatrics. She has experience working in outpatient pediatric clinics, hospitals, schools, and home health. Nicole has been trained in treatment techniques for Irlen Syndrome at the Irlen Institute in Longbeach Calf., Primitive Reflexes, Pediatric Kinesio Taping, Interactive Metronome, The Astronaut Protocol, Therapeutic Listening, Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding, and the TEACCH Autism Program. Nicole also developed a Handwriting Camp for print and cursive that she has been running since 2016 on the west side of the Big Island.
Nicole moved to Hawaii with her husband and two children in the summer of 2010. When they landed on the Big Island of Hawaii they were greeted with Aloha and decided to embrace the island life. While working in the Waimea and Kohala schools, Nicole was surprised of the limited outpatient pediatric clinics for children with special needs. At that moment, Nicole's husband said, "some day you will own a pediatric clinic on this island." That dream/vision came true in 2019.
Educating parents and family members on how to maximize a child's independence in daily living skills is Nicole's passion. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, swimming, snorkeling, and hiking with her family.
